Drugs and Alcohol Awareness for Employees

Course information
Introduction

It is estimated that up to 17 million working days are lost each year because of drug and alcohol-related sickness, costing the economy an estimated £7.3 billion a year. Surveys show that as many as one in four employees admit to making a mistake at work due to being hungover, and 83% admit to a hangover making a difference to the way they work. Economical and professional impacts aside, substance and alcohol misuse can lead to a range of social psychological and medical problems for an individual. Developed with Drug and Alcohol Awareness professionals, our Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course for All Employees eLearning is designed to help inform your employees of the risks associated with alcohol and substance misuse, offer advice for individuals and employers on the early warning signs that someone is developing a substance misuse problem and provide strategies on how to deal with it. It also provides a forum to introduce your organisation’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, and to inform employees of their responsibilities related to this in the workplace.

Aims of the Course
