Activity has a key role to play in the promotion of health within any population. Praxis42 Fitness services aims to work with our clients to promote an active approach to life from within the corporate environment. The long-term benefits to the employee and business alike can be significant.

Activity can impact on an individual's physical and mental well being. There is strong evidence to suggest that regular physical activity can positively influence a multitude of health related factors that may reduce their likelihood of future ill health. Promoting a strong positive activity message may influence employee health. The method of promotion can range from general activity promotion information to the installation of manned on-site facilities with the aim of encouraging increased activity participation.

Fitness facility management

  • Best practice operational processes that meet the requirements of the Fitness Industry Association (FIA) code of conduct.
  • The provision of qualified and experienced resources who are involved in an ongoing performance management and development process to ensure a world class service to clients and members .
  • Risk management of membership via health screening, exercise programming and fitness induction by qualified professionals to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, Data Protection Act and Medical Records Act.
  • Facility risk management with regular checks and record keeping which meets the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
  • Equipment maintenance and repair where agreed with appropriate record keeping to meet the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
  • Performance reporting to the client using agreed KPI's where agreed to ensure good client governance is achieved.
  • Record storage that meets the requirements of the Data Protection Act and Medical Records Act.
  • Fitness Adviser support for additional site charitable, sporting or social events to support clients team building initiatives.
  • On site promotion of the benefits of regular exercise and centre membership to all client employees via mediums such as notice boards, e notice boards, leaflet drops or other mechanisms applicable to the site.
  • Liaising with associated health professionals where necessary, occupational health, GP's and physiotherapy with client consent, to encourage a swift return to work programme.
  • Supporting the management team with employee retention on site.
  • One to one equipment and facility induction of members to ensure safe usage and reduce the risk of adverse affects leading to absence from work or civil liability claims.
  • Involvement of fitness team at induction training to support HR teams.
  • Collection and management of members monthly fees.

Services supplied to the members

  • Appropriate and personalised activity recommendations based on client pre-activity readiness assessment including motivational interview content provide by a qualified fitness professional.
  • Pre-activity readiness assessment and further referral if required to ensure suitability to perform activity choices provided by a qualified fitness professional.
  • One to one equipment and facility induction to ensure safe usage and to reduce the risk of adverse affects.
  • Individual activity programming and follow up support provided by a qualified fitness professional.
  • Member retention follow-up procedure to encourage activity adherence when requested.
  • Activity promotion for all members and enquiries with on going monthly contact for all current and lapsed members.
  • Provision of motivational gym events throughout the year.
  • Club magazine with updates, events and fitness news through the year.
