Accident and Incident Investigation
When something goes wrong a thorough investigation can help identify the basic causes so that action can be taken to prevent a re-occurrence. Examples would be after a RIDDOR reportable accident, a significant incident or even a near miss. The investigation gathers relevant information for reference in the event of enforcement activity or a claim. Typically we would visit site and gather the facts, interview witnesses and produce a report with recommendations. If appropriate we will liaise with enforcement authorities.

Fire Risk Assessment
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations require all non domestic premises to hold a current Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) which is regularly reviewed. One of our team of qualified and experienced Advisers will work with the 'Responsible Person' or 'Duty Holder' to consider the range of hazards associated with the location and activities as well as current management arrangements, preventative measures and emergency response. We will then produce your FRA with prioritised recommended actions to enable compliance. As part of the service we will provide Free RoSPA approved Fire Safety training to employees to help you meet the legal obligation to train.

On-site audit
One of our team of trained and experienced in-hose Advisers will visit each of your locations to conduct a comprehensive audit. The audit will be tailored to your needs and can cover health and safety, accessibility, asbestos condition, environment, fire, food hygiene, hazardous substances, statutory inspections and any other topic you require.
Whilst on site we can check management arrangements as well as undertaking a physical inspection and can feedback our findings with a prioritised Action Plan while we are on-site.
We can also provide periodic reports of findings across locations visited.

The audit findings, photographs and reports and any of your own relevant records that you need to have readily available can be stored on our online database. Enforcement Support and Guidance
From time to time you may have a visit from an Enforcing Officer from the HSE, Fire Authority, Environment Agency or Local Authority. These officers have wide ranging powers and can provide you with useful advice and guidance, send you a letter explaining what is required of your organisation, issue either Improvement or Prohibition Notices or prompt prosecution. Workstation and DSE Assessments
These ergonomic workstation assessments are aimed at employees who use computers or mobile devices, to ensure that employers are able to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations. These Regulations require that workstation assessments and users of DSE are assessed and the findings recorded.
We can support you by either providing one of our trained and experienced Advisers to visit your premises and undertake a face to face assessment or we can provide our online Workstation Assessment+ (WA+) solution which when linked with our training can enable the identification of specific or general issues, ensure timely interventions are taken and provide a full range of management reporting metrics.
We can also provide Occupational Health guidance from one of our OH Advisers to help deal with any individual cases where employees are reporting discomfort that might be related to their workstation arrangements or as part of a return to work programme.
