Fire safety in the work place

Posted by Tracy Seward

With temperatures set to continue to soar across the UK this summer, the heatwave is bringing with it many potential fire risks. The scorching weather has already caused wildfires across the country, causing disruption to people and business.

Ensuring your business has developed and implemented the right fire safety processes and procedures is essential. The fire safety management team at Praxis42 work with businesses to help ensure that the right decisions, policies and best practices are developed for the organisation, in the design, maintenance and operation of a suitable and effective fire safety management system.

The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (RROFSO) and The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations require all non domestic premises to hold a current Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) which is regularly reviewed. One of our qualified and experienced advisors will work with the ‘Responsible Person’ or ‘Duty Holder’ to consider the range of hazards associated with the location and activities as well as current management arrangements, preventative measures and emergency response. We will then produce your suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment with prioritised recommended actions to enable compliance in line with the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (RROFSO), Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 and the associated Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006.

As part of the service we are able to provide FREE IOSH approved Fire Safety eLearning to employees to assist you in meeting the legal obligation to train. Contact us today to speak to our Fire Safety expert – 0870 446 4201
