Why did you want to work for Praxis42?
When I came across Praxis42, I saw just how much they were developing and growing which made me excited from the get on and was something I wanted to be a part of straight away.
What led you to work within eLearning?
With the current climate in the world, e-Learning has seen a big boom in demand and a great way to engage with customers and employees. I want to be a part of the big boom and help others to have a greater and better knowledge of the health & safety within the workplace.
What do you think the future of eLearning holds?
e-Learning is most certainly the future of engaging with employees. With most people now working from home, it’s a fantastic tool to help grow your knowledge and understanding of health & safety whilst in the comfort of your own home!
What are your favourite parts of your job?
Easy, the people! The people are what make the workplace and being a part of a great team makes the job even more enjoyable!
Most memorable work moment?
In my previous role at John Lewis & Partners, I saw numerous of ‘local’ celebrities. My favourite was being able to talk to ex-England and Ipswich captain Terry Butcher!
Worst ever work experience?
My worst work experience…. That’s a good question. There are quite a few but I always try to put a positive swing onto things. If you’ve made a mistake (as we all do!), you learn from it and better yourself as an individual.
What’s your typical day?
Wake up early in the morning (children!!), if I have time for breakfast, great, if not, I try and survive until lunch time. A 20 minute commute to work through the country roads which I love so much. I have a son who is at this current time, 14 weeks old, so anything outside of work is very much family orientated which is the best thing ever! I also have a cat who is extremely high maintenance and loves to make the next doors dogs bark!!
What is you Plan B? (what would you do if you weren’t doing this?)
My original plan before I went into the workplace was always to be a footballer! I was in the Ipswich academy at the age of 11 for just under a year. Plan B, to become a primary school teacher. I’d love nothing more than to help children in such a pivotal part in their lives to be successful.
